Swissôtel The Bosphorus Destination Wedding Venue

(Box Hotel)

PALACE GARDENS ABOVE THE BOSPHORUS, WITH INDIAN CATERING ON SITE

Swissôtel The Bosphorus stands in Maçka, Beşiktaş, beside Dolmabahçe Palace, in historic gardens that were part of the palace and now cover about 60,000 sq m. It has 566 rooms, among them 63 Swissôtel Living residences, and 29 function rooms. The Fuji Ballroom seats 1,008 for a banquet, and Madhu’s, the award-winning British Indian restaurant, runs its Istanbul restaurant and Indian wedding catering here.

IWP shortlists Swissôtel The Bosphorus for large weddings that want a garden mehendi, a ballroom reception and Indian food cooked on site. This page gives you the facts we use when we shortlist it: rooms, venues, distances, best dates and what an Indian wedding here costs.

Swissôtel The Bosphorus at a glance

An Indian wedding at Swissôtel The Bosphorus

Swissôtel suits weddings of 300 to 1,000 guests. The 566 rooms sleep about 1,130, and the Fuji Ballroom seats 1,008 for a banquet, so most weddings can stay in-house on a large room block rather than a buyout. Madhu’s offers Indian wedding catering on site, and the gardens give space for an outdoor event of up to 800 in Sultan Park.

How the celebrations fit Swissôtel The Bosphorus

  • Mehendi by day in Sabrosa Garden or Chalet Sera, under the trees, or on the Living Terrace beside the infinity pool.
  • Sangeet in Asuka (522 sq m, banquet 480), which the hotel already offers for henna nights, or Neuchatel (357 sq m, banquet 324).
  • Pheras in Sultan Park or the gardens in spring and early summer, with space for up to 800; in winter, in Fuji I, a 425 sq m section of the Fuji Ballroom.
  • Reception in the pillar-free Fuji Ballroom, 1,070 sq m, for up to 1,008 at a banquet, with drinks in its Bosphorus-view foyer.

What an Indian wedding at Swissôtel The Bosphorus costs

These are IWP’s indicative, all-inclusive bands (venue and rooms, food and beverage, décor and production, entertainment, guest logistics and planning), which we price exactly for your dates:

  • Premium, 150–250 guests, 3 days: US$315,000–525,000 (₹3–5 crore).
  • Royal, 300–500 guests, 4 days: US$725,000–1.05 million (₹7–10 crore).
  • Ultra-luxe, 500+ guests or a full-property buyout, 3–4 days: US$1.05 million and above (₹10 crore+).

Here the number moves with the season, the nights you hold the room block, whether you share the hotel or book it exclusively, and how many functions need an outdoor build in the gardens. See all wedding venues in Istanbul and our Turkey wedding guide.

Best dates

Istanbul’s weather is best for outdoor functions from April to June and in September and October; winter is wet and suits a ballroom wedding. The 2027 Hindu calendar has no muhurats in August, September or October (Chaturmas), so families who follow the muhurat usually choose late April to June, which has 44 dates from 18 April, or November, which has 11 dates from 10 November. Swissôtel’s gardens, Sultan Park and the Living Terrace suit the spring dates; in November and the winter months, the Fuji and Asuka ballrooms carry the wedding indoors. See IWP’s full list of Hindu wedding dates of 2027.
