Ranthambore gives you a jungle wedding on the edge of one of India's best-known tiger reserves, with a restored 14th-century fort, a new resort with a ballroom and luxury tented camps. Room counts are small, guests arrive by road or rail, and safaris have to fit around the functions, so the planning is different from a city wedding. IWP – Indian Wedding Planners has planned destination weddings since 2013 from our offices in Jaipur and Mumbai, and Jaipur is the nearest airport for most Ranthambore weddings.

Most couples choose the kind of setting first and the hotel second. This is how the Ranthambore venues we plan at fall into place:
| Setting | Best for | Venues we plan at |
|---|---|---|
| Restored fort | A royal wedding inside 14th-century walls | Six Senses Fort Barwara, about 30 minutes from Sawai Madhopur |
| Resort with a ballroom | Premium weddings that need indoor space and the most rooms | JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa (127 rooms) |
| Lawn weddings | 250–500 guests on lawns of over 15,000 sq ft | Taj Sawai Ranthambore |
| Fort-style palace | Heritage weddings close to the park | Nahargarh Ranthambore |
| Luxury tents | Very intimate weddings in tented suites | The Oberoi Vanyavilas |
Compare rooms, event spaces and photos of all five hotels on our Ranthambore wedding venues page.
These are the indicative all-inclusive budgets we share at enquiry. They cover the venue and room block, food and beverage, décor and production, entertainment, guest logistics and our planning fee.
| Wedding style | Guests | Celebration | Indicative budget |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intimate | 50–100 | 2 days | from about ?1 crore (US$105,000) |
| Premium | 150–250 | 3 days | ?3–5 crore (US$315,000–525,000) |
| Royal | 300–500 | 4 days | ?7–10 crore (US$725,000–1.05 million) |
| Ultra-luxe | 500+ or a full buyout | 3–4 days | ?10 crore and above (US$1.05 million+) |
In Ranthambore the room count limits the guest list more than the budget does: most resorts here are small, so larger weddings book two hotels. A buyout of Six Senses Fort Barwara or The Oberoi Vanyavilas sits at the top of each band. See the venue-by-venue details on wedding venues in Ranthambore.
Read our 3-day jungle wedding plan at JW Marriott Ranthambore, with function-by-function venues and décor, and our Ranthambore destination wedding guide.
Start at least 6–7 months before the wedding. For Six Senses Fort Barwara or The Oberoi Vanyavilas between November and February, start 12 months ahead.
Many of our couples live abroad. Guests usually fly into Jaipur and come by road, or take a train to Sawai Madhopur. One senior planner runs your wedding remotely through video calls and live venue tours, and our travel desk handles guest flights, arrivals and visas for non-Indian guests. Read our guides for families in the USA, the UK, Canada and the UAE and the Gulf.
Still deciding on the destination? We also plan weddings in Jaipur, Udaipur, Pushkar and across India.
Check which Ranthambore resorts the planner has delivered weddings at, how they handle road and rail transfers and safari bookings for guests, and whether they give you a written budget before you pay an advance. IWP has planned weddings since 2013 and works with five Ranthambore wedding hotels.
IWP's all-inclusive Ranthambore weddings start at about ?1 crore (US$105,000) for 50–100 guests over 2 days. A 3-day wedding for 150–250 guests is about ?3–5 crore, a 4-day wedding for 300–500 guests is ?7–10 crore, and 500+ guests or a full buyout is ?10 crore and above. Our planning fee is included in these bands.
At least 6–7 months before the wedding. Ranthambore resorts have few rooms, so for a buyout between November and February book 12 months ahead.
JW Marriott Ranthambore has the most rooms (127) and a ballroom, and Taj Sawai has lawns for 250–500 guests. Larger weddings usually book a second resort nearby for rooms.
Most guests fly into Jaipur International Airport and come by road; Six Senses Fort Barwara is about 2.5 hours from the airport. Sawai Madhopur railway station is also close to the resorts, and we arrange pickups from both.
October to March, for cool, dry weather. April to June is very hot, and in the July to September monsoon the park's core safari zones close, so guests miss the tiger safaris.
