Goa gives you sunset pheras on the sand, sea-facing lawns and big resorts that can hold every guest under one roof. The hard part is picking the right beach and the right resort for your guest count, holding the dates in a short winter season, and keeping 250 guests happy between two airports, the hotel and the mandap. IWP – Indian Wedding Planners has planned destination weddings since 2013 from our offices in Jaipur and Mumbai, and Goa is where many of our couples come for a beach wedding.

Most couples pick the side of Goa first and the resort second. This is how the Goa venues we plan at fall into place:
| Setting | Best for | Venues we plan at |
|---|---|---|
| South Goa beachfront | Large weddings with every function at one resort, 150–500 guests | Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, ITC Grand Goa, The St. Regis Goa Resort, The Zuri White Sands, Caravela Beach Resort, Holiday Inn Resort Goa, Novotel Goa Dona Sylvia |
| North Goa beaches | Younger crowds, beach-club parties, close to Mopa airport | W Goa, JW Marriott Goa, The Westin Goa, Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa |
| Near Panjim, on the bay | The biggest guest counts and an indoor backup for every function | Grand Hyatt Goa, Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon |
| Garden and paddy-field resort | Design-led weddings of 100–200 guests | Alila Diwa Goa |
| Quiet far south and boutique | Private, slower weddings away from the crowds | The LaLiT Golf & Spa Resort in Canacona, Mayfair on Sea in Morjim |

These are the indicative all-inclusive budgets we share at enquiry. They cover the venue and room block, food and beverage, décor and production, entertainment, guest logistics and our planning fee.
| Wedding style | Guests | Celebration | Indicative budget |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intimate | 50–100 | 2 days | from about ₹1 crore (US$105,000) |
| Premium | 150–250 | 3 days | ₹3–5 crore (US$315,000–525,000) |
| Royal | 300–500 | 4 days | ₹7–10 crore (US$725,000–1.05 million) |
| Ultra-luxe | 500+ or a full buyout | 3–4 days | ₹10 crore and above (US$1.05 million+) |
In Goa the room block is usually the biggest single line: three nights for 200 guests can cost as much as the functions. The date moves the budget next. November to February is peak season, and Christmas to New Year is the most expensive fortnight of the year. See the venue-by-venue breakdown on wedding venues in Goa with price.
Start at least 6–7 months before the wedding. For a large South Goa resort between November and February, start 12 months ahead.
Goa is often the easiest Indian destination for guests flying in, with direct flights from the Gulf and most Indian metros. One senior planner runs your wedding remotely through video calls and live venue tours, and our travel desk handles guest flights, arrivals and visas for non-Indian guests. Read our guides for families in the USA, the UK, Canada and the UAE and the Gulf.
Still deciding on the destination? Our Goa destination wedding guide covers what Goa offers, and we also plan weddings in Jaipur, Udaipur and across India.
Check which Goa resorts the planner has delivered weddings at, whether they can explain the difference between North and South Goa for your guests, how they handle beach permissions and the 10 pm music cut-off, and whether they give you a written budget before you pay an advance. IWP has planned weddings since 2013 and works with 16 Goa wedding hotels.
IWP's all-inclusive Goa weddings start at about ₹1 crore (US$105,000) for 50–100 guests over 2 days. A 3-day wedding for 150–250 guests is about ₹3–5 crore, a 4-day wedding for 300–500 guests is ₹7–10 crore, and 500+ guests or a full buyout is ₹10 crore and above. Our planning fee is included in these bands.
At least 6–7 months before the wedding. For a large beach resort such as Taj Exotica, ITC Grand Goa or The St. Regis between November and February, book 12 months ahead. Christmas and New Year dates go first.
South Goa has the bigger beachfront resorts, larger lawns and quieter beaches, so most weddings of 200 guests or more choose it. North Goa suits younger crowds who want beach clubs and nightlife, and it is closer to Mopa airport. Grand Hyatt Goa, near Panjim, sits between the two and has the largest indoor space.
Yes, at a resort with its own beachfront. Beaches in Goa are public, so we work with the hotel on a private event area and the permissions it needs. Sunset is the most popular time. Loud outdoor music has to stop at 10 pm, so we plan the after-party indoors.
November to February, for dry weather and cool evenings, with Christmas and New Year the busiest and most expensive. October and March are good shoulder months with better rates. June to September is the monsoon: rates are at their lowest, but beach functions are not practical, so we plan them in ballrooms and under cover.
