Bahrain is an emerging hotspot for Indian destination weddings, with beach resorts a short flight from India and the Gulf. Top wedding hotels Bahrain such as InterContinental Bahrain, an IHG hotel, The Ritz-Carlton and Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort & Spa, Bahrain offer spectacular venues for grand destination wedding ceremonies.
You can plan your entire wedding remotely with IWP: one senior planner, video walk-throughs of shortlisted venues, and planning calls at times that suit you. We coordinate Indian chefs, pandit, mandap and décor with the resort, and manage travel and hospitality for guests flying in from North America, the UK and India.
Indicative all-inclusive budgets: intimate (50–100 guests, 2 days) from about US$105,000; premium (150–250 guests, 3 days) US$315,000–525,000; royal (300–500 guests, 4 days) US$725,000–1.05 million. Book a video call or send an enquiry and we will reply within 24 hours with a venue shortlist.
Most Indian weddings in Bahrain use one resort for the whole celebration: mehendi and sangeet indoors or by the pool, the pheras on the beach or lawn, and the reception in the ballroom. The three beach resorts below publish their event capacities; room counts are those on our venue pages.
| Venue | Setting | Largest event space (hotel figures) | Rooms |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain | Private beach and island, Manama | Al-Ghazal Ballroom, up to 1,000 guests; 14 event rooms; 4,613 sq m of event space; Croquet Lawn | 245 |
| Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa sea & spa | Private beach, Zallaq, west coast | Al Nakheel Ballroom, 1,100 sq m, up to 1,000 guests; 12 event spaces | 266 |
| Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort and Spa | Private beach, west coast; villas with pools | Ballroom up to 300 guests; four smaller rooms for 80–100 | 196 |
| InterContinental Bahrain | City, Manama | Ballroom and function rooms (capacities on request) | 304 |
| Hilton Bahrain | City, Manama | Ballroom and function rooms (capacities on request) | 348 |
| Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain | Private villa resort, Al Areen | Suited to intimate weddings | 78 |
For a reception of 500 to 1,000 guests, the Ritz-Carlton and Sofitel are the two beach resorts with a ballroom of that size. For 150 to 300 guests with most of them staying on site, Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain keeps every function within one resort.
Hotel wedding packages in Bahrain usually cover the venue, the hotel's food and drink, and a room block. An Indian wedding needs more than that, so IWP builds one plan around the hotel package:
Indicative all-inclusive budgets (IWP planning bands): Intimate, 50–100 guests, from about US$105,000 (₹1 crore); Premium, 150–250 guests, US$315,000–525,000 (₹3–5 crore); Royal, 300–500 guests, US$725,000–1.05 million (₹7–10 crore); Ultra-luxe, 500+ guests or a full buyout, US$1.05 million+ (₹10 crore+). IWP's indicative all-inclusive budgets start at about US$105,000 (₹1 crore) for 50 to 100 guests over 2 days, US$315,000 to 525,000 (₹3–5 crore) for 150 to 250 guests over 3 days, and US$725,000 to 1.05 million (₹7–10 crore) for 300 to 500 guests over 4 days. The final figure depends on the venue, dates and guest count.
The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain (Al-Ghazal Ballroom) and Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa (Al Nakheel Ballroom) each take up to 1,000 guests, according to the hotels. Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain's ballroom takes up to 300.
Yes. The Ritz-Carlton, Sofitel Zallaq and Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain all have private beaches; the Ritz-Carlton also has a private island and the Croquet Lawn. We plan an indoor back-up for every outdoor function.
The hotels sell venue, catering and room packages. IWP adds what an Indian wedding needs: Indian chefs, pandit, mandap, décor, sangeet production and a guest desk, priced as one plan.
November to March. Summer months are too hot for outdoor celebrations.
Yes. We bring Indian chefs to work with the resort kitchen, a pandit travels from India, and our design team builds the mandap and décor, with key pieces shipped from India.
It depends on each guest's passport. Bahrain issues eVisas online through its official portal, evisa.gov.bh, and some passports can get a visa on arrival. Our guest desk checks every passport, sends each family the right steps and helps with applications.
