JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa opened in June 2026 as Marriott International’s 10,000th hotel. It stands on 14 acres at Jamool Khera, Sawai Madhopur, with views of the Aravalli and Vindhya ranges, and Ranthambore National Park is about ten minutes away. For an Indian wedding the numbers that matter are 127 rooms, tented suites and villas, the 310 sq m Willow ballroom, and three open-air pavilion lawns that take up to 450 guests.

An Indian wedding at JW Marriott Ranthambore

At two guests per room the resort sleeps about 250, so a wedding of up to 250 guests can stay entirely in-house, which is how we prefer to plan here: one resort, no daily shuttles. For 300 to 450 guests, IWP books the whole resort for the family and places the rest at other Sawai Madhopur hotels. The pavilion lawns carry the large functions; Willow seats up to 216 for dinner.

How the celebrations fit JW Marriott Ranthambore

• Mehendi by day on Pavilion 2, a 274 sq m lawn for up to 150 seated, or in Blank Canvas for close family.
• Sangeet in the Willow ballroom for up to 216, with the pre-function area as the bar, or on Pavilion 1 for a larger guest list under the sky.
• Pheras in the late afternoon on Pavilion 3, the largest lawn at 1,118 sq m, with room for 400.
• Reception on Pavilion 1 for up to 450, or a seated dinner in Willow for a smaller list.

Best dates

Rajasthan’s wedding season runs from October to March, and at Ranthambore it sits inside the safari season: the park’s core zones 1 to 5 are open from October to June and close from 1 July to 30 September, when only zones 6 to 10 run. In 2027 there are no muhurats from August to October; November (11 dates, from 10 November), December (6, from 7 to 14 December), January (9, from 15 January), February (13) and March (7, up to 14 March) give 46 dates inside the season.
