Istanbul is IWP’s largest single-city listing for an Indian wedding in Istanbul: Bosphorus palaces, hilltop ballroom hotels and one Marmara seafront resort, each able to run a mehendi, sangeet, pheras and reception across two to four days. IWP currently lists 12 wedding venues in the city, ranging from a 38-room Bosphorus mansion to a 566-room garden hotel, so the choice usually comes down to guest count and how much of the wedding should happen on the water. The venue list below carries all 12 hotels; the table beneath sets out rooms and setting side by side.
Eleven of the 12 IWP-listed Istanbul hotels sit on or within sight of the Bosphorus; the twelfth, Renaissance Polat Istanbul Hotel, faces the Sea of Marmara. Rooms are each hotel’s own published count; “Best for” gives the wedding band that fits, using the staying-guest estimate at two guests per room where the hotel publishes one.

These are IWP’s indicative, all-inclusive bands (venue and rooms, food and beverage, décor and production, entertainment, guest logistics and planning), which we price exactly for your dates:
What moves the number in Istanbul: the season (April–June and September–October carry the highest room rates), whether the wedding shares the hotel with other guests or takes a full buyout, how many of the four functions move outdoors onto a Bosphorus terrace, and how many nights the wedding party stays. Kocataş Mansions and Radisson Blu Bosphorus Hotel, both under 150 rooms, also work to a smaller, Intimate brief closer to 50–100 guests; ask IWP for that band’s figure against a specific venue.
Istanbul is most comfortable from April to June and in September and October, when daytime highs run from about 17°C in April to the high 20s in September, with the fewest rain days of the year. Winter, November to March, is cooler and wetter, but suits a wedding that stays indoors in a ballroom such as the Çırağan or Swissôtel. The 2027 Hindu calendar has no muhurats from August to October (Chaturmas), so muhurat-led families usually choose late April to June (44 dates) or November (11 dates, from 10 November); see our list of Hindu wedding dates of 2027.
Delhi and Mumbai are the only Indian cities with nonstop flights to Istanbul Airport (IST): Turkish Airlines flies both routes once daily, about 6h45m from Delhi and 6h55m from Mumbai, and IndiGo also flies both once daily, though its Delhi flight runs about 8h30m nonstop and its Mumbai flight makes a technical stop and takes over 9 hours. Sabiha Gökçen (SAW), on the Asian side, is the second airport; most IWP-listed hotels are 38–45 km from IST and 40–90 minutes from SAW. Indian passport holders need a visa: those already holding a valid US, UK, Schengen or Irish visa or residence permit can apply for a single-entry, one-month e-Visa online; a Canadian visa or PR card does not qualify. Guests without one of those documents apply for a sticker visa through the Gateway International visa centre in India, by appointment, up to 60 days ahead. British, American and Canadian passport holders can enter visa-free for up to 90 days. See our Turkey wedding guide for the full visa and flight picture.
IWP currently lists 12 hotels in Istanbul for Indian weddings, from the 38-room Kocataş Mansions to the 566-room Swissôtel The Bosphorus, most of them on or near the Bosphorus.
IWP’s indicative all-inclusive bands are US$315,000–525,000 (₹3–5 crore) for 150–250 guests, US$725,000–1.05 million (₹7–10 crore) for 300–500 guests, and US$1.05 million and above (₹10 crore+) for 500 or more guests or a full buyout; smaller weddings are quoted separately.
Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus, Renaissance Polat Istanbul Hotel, Rixos Tersane Istanbul and Swissôtel The Bosphorus each have 430 or more rooms and ballrooms built for 1,000 or more guests, so they suit Royal and Ultra-luxe weddings.
Kocataş Mansions, with 38 rooms on the upper Bosphorus, and Radisson Blu Bosphorus Hotel, with 120 rooms in Ortaköy, both suit intimate weddings of around 75 to 240 staying guests.
Turkish Airlines and IndiGo each fly Delhi–Istanbul and Mumbai–Istanbul nonstop once daily; Turkish Airlines takes about 6h45m–6h55m, IndiGo about 8h30m to over 9 hours. Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) both serve the city.
April to June and September to October have the best weather. With no Hindu muhurats from August to October in 2027, muhurat-led families usually choose late April to June or November; winter suits an indoor ballroom wedding.
