Raffles Udaipur is the first Raffles hotel in India. It opened in 2021 on a 21-acre private island in Udaisagar Lake, outside Udaipur city, and guests reach it by private boat from the hotel's lakeshore arrival point. The architecture is European Palladian with Rajput and Mughal details: domes, chhatris, Mewari jali panels and Baroque-style gardens. The hotel is about 20 minutes from Udaipur airport.
How many rooms does Raffles Udaipur have?
101 rooms and suites on the island, plus 36 rooms and suites at Raffles Lakeshore Udaipur on the shore: 137 in all. On double occupancy the island alone houses about 200 guests, and both settings together about 270. That suits a full island buyout for a wedding of up to about 200 staying guests. For a larger list, IWP adds a second Udaipur hotel for the room block, such as The Oberoi Udaivilas, The Leela Palace Udaipur or Fairmont Udaipur Palace, with boat and coach transfers planned around each function.
