It spans four buildings, three of them protected landmarks from the early 1900s, with a quarter of a kilometre of gardens along the water. With 177 rooms and suites, the hotel sleeps about 350, which covers a wedding of 150 to 250 guests with room to spare. The ballroom and terrace together seat 820, so a larger reception still fits when some guests stay at other hotels in Karaköy and Beyoğlu. A full buyout of the hotel is priced in the Royal band.

Istanbul is most comfortable from April to June and in September and October; winter is the wettest season and suits a ballroom wedding.
