An Anand Karaj is one of the most beautiful ceremonies in the world, and many Sikh families in the UK, USA and Canada want to celebrate it with a destination wedding. The Akal Takht has directed that the Anand Karaj should take place in a gurdwara, in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, rather than at hotels, resorts or beaches. Many families and granthis follow this directive, so we plan around it.
